Automations help you streamline file transfers by triggering actions based on changes in your monday.com workspace.

How to Configure Automations

  1. Open a monday.com board where you want to automate file transfers.
  2. Click Integrate (top right corner).
  3. Search for Quick Copy & Move Files in the automation center.
  4. Select a predefined automation recipe that suits your workflow.
  5. Choose the source and destination (columns, items, or boards).
  6. Click Save – Your automation is now active! ✅

How Automations Work

Files can be automatically copied or moved based on:

📌 Status Changes – When an item's status changes (e.g., "In Progress" → "Completed"), files are transferred automatically.

📌 Column Updates – If a column value changes, files can be moved to another column or board.

📌 Button Clicks – Users can trigger file transfers with a button action.

📌 Update Created – If an update is added to an item, files can be copied to that item's file column.

🚀 Example Scenarios:

  • When Status changes to "Done," move all attached files to an "Archived" board.
  • When a column is updated, copy files to another board for review.
  • When a button is clicked, instantly transfer files to a different item.
  • When an update is created, automatically copy the attached files to the corresponding item's file column.

Automated Transfers Only

No manual actions needed! All file movements are handled through pre-configured automations, ensuring efficiency and accuracy.
