Copy, Move & Sync files within an Item

Section 1: From One Column to Another

Purpose: Use this when you want to duplicate files between two columns in the same item.

⚙️ How to Set Up:

  1. Open your board and go to Integrations.
  2. Select Quick Copy & Move Files.
  3. Choose the automation: "When Column changes, Copy / Move / Sync Files from one column to another".
  4. Select the source column and the destination column.
  5. Click Save to activate.

Section 2: From Update Section to File Column

Purpose: Automatically copies files from an Update section to a file column.

⚙️ How to Set Up:

  1. Select "When Update is created, Copy files from Update to Column".
  2. Choose the file column as the destination.
  3. Click Save to activate.

Section 3: Move Files from One Column to Another

Purpose: Transfers files from one column to another without keeping the original copy.

⚙️ How to Set Up:

  1. Open your board and go to Integrations.
  2. Select Quick Copy & Move Files.
  3. Choose the automation: "When column changes, Copy / Move / Sync Files from one column to another".
  4. Select the source column and the destination column.
  5. Click Save to activate.

Section 4: Sync Files within an One Column to Another

Purpose: Transfers files from one column to another without duplicate copy.

⚙️ How to Set Up:

  1. Open your board and go to Integrations.
  2. Select Quick Copy & Move Files.
  3. Choose the automation: "When column changes, Copy / Move / Sync Files from one column to another".
  4. Select the source column and the destination column.
  5. Click Save to activate.

Note: If a file copied during a sync operation is manually deleted from the destination column, it will not be copied again in future syncs. The system tracks previously copied files to avoid creating duplicates or restoring deleted files during subsequent sync operations.


Copy, Move & Sync files from one Item to another item


Section 1: Copy files from one item to another item.

Purpose: Use this when copying files between different items.

⚙️ How to Set Up:

  1. Open your board and go to Integrations.
  2. Select Quick Copy & Move Files.
  3. Select "When column changes, Copy / Move / Sync Files from the updated item to another item's file column".
  4. Choose the destination item’s file column and the target column.
  5. Click Save to activate.

Section 2: Move files from one Item to another item

Purpose: Use this when moving files between different items.

⚙️ How to Set Up:

  1. Open your board and go to Integrations.
  2. Select Quick Copy & Move Files.
  3. Select "When column changes, Copy / Move / Sync Files from the updated item to another item's file column ".

  5. Click Save to activate.

Section 4: Copy files On item moved to group

Purpose: Use this when moving items to one group to another.

⚙️ How to Set Up:

  1. Open your board and go to Integrations.
  2. Select Quick Copy & Move Files.
  3. Select "When an Item is Moved to this Group, Copy / Move / Sync file(s) from Item to Item".
  4. Choose the destination item and the target column.
  5. Click Save to activate.

Section 5: Move files On item moved to group

Purpose: Use this when moving items to one group to another.

⚙️ How to Set Up:

  1. Open your board and go to Integrations.
  2. Select Quick Copy & Move Files.
  3. Select "When an Item is Moved to this Group, Copy / Move / Sync file(s) from Item to Item".
  4. Choose the destination item and the target column.

Purpose: Use this when moving items to one group to another.

Copy Files to Another Board on Button Click

Purpose: Instantly copy files to another board when a button is clicked.

⚙️ How to Set Up:

  1. Open your board and go to Integrations.
  2. Select Quick Copy & Move Files.
  3. Select "When button clicked, Copy / Move / Sync files from current board’s file column to other board’s column".
  4. Choose the Current Board's Button, File Column, Connected Board, Destination board & file column.
  5. Click Save to activate.

Copy Files to Another Board on Column Changes

Purpose: Instantly copy files to another board when a column changes.

Rename Files Recipes


Copy Files Rename (Input Text) on Button Click Column to Column

Purpose: Rename file and Copy to Column to Column.

  3. Select "When button clicked, Rename to File Name(Input Text) and Copy / Move / Sync files from Column to Column".
  4. Choose the Time , Date Column, Source File Column, & Destination File column.
  5. Click Save to activate.

Performance

  • Enables bulk file copy and move operations for up to 200 Items at once.
